Social progress is always heralded by the struggle against conservative ideas in the field of philosophy, science, art etc. For this reason this web page is dedicated to Antonio Labriola of whom we appreciated, not only the intellectual honesty, but also his social activities and his work for spreading a democratic culture that have nourished the mind of common people in their struggle for emancipation.

The progress of humanity as manifest in the arts, science and all the complex element of modern life, are the way by which the humanity relates to itself. In this sense the Marxism is the consciousness of humanity, the active essence of the self in its relation with nature.
